About Your Retreat

The Theology of the Body Institute presents “Theology of the Body and Priestly Prayer,” the second of a three-part retreat series entitled, “In the Person of Christ: Theology of the Body and the Catholic Priesthood.” Guided by Reverend Ryan Mann, priest of the Diocese of Cleveland, and TOBI Director of Ongoing Formation and Consecrated Virgin, Jen Settle, participants will walk the road to Emmaus in the presence of the Christ to rediscover the path of prayer in the light of the Theology of the Body.

Participants will contemplate and discuss among brother priests, the joys, challenges, and opportunities for prayer inscribed in the heart of their priesthood. Join your brother priests for a unique time of deep prayer, rest, reflection, and daily opportunity for spiritual direction and celebration of the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confession, which will rekindle both your prayer life and your love of the priesthood.

Meet Your Retreat Directors

Reverend Ryan Mann

Reverend Ryan Mann is a priest of the Diocese of Cleveland, and pastor at St. Basil the Great parish. He also serves as chaplain to Retrovaille in Cleveland. Fr. Ryan has given presentations in numerous Dioceses throughout the United States, retreats for Diocesean offices, parish missions, and several talks at colleges and conferences, as well. He has been published on Word on Fire, and been on Pints with Aquinas with Matt Fradd, and most recently has spoken at the New York Encounter. Fr. Ryan has been a chaplain and faculty member for the Theology of the Body and the Interior Life certification course at the Theology of the Body Institute. Fr. Ryan’s favorite parts of priesthood are his friends and the priests and people of the Diocese of Cleveland.

Jen Settle

Jen Settle is a Consecrated Virgin in the Diocese of Orlando. She has been a staff member at the Theology of the Body Institute in Quarryville, Pennsylvania since 2008, where she currently serves as the Director of Ongoing Formation. She has Bachelor and Master's degrees in Theology and Parish Ministry from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. Jen worked in religious education and adult faith formation for 15 years before joining the TOBI staff. Jen was the TOBI leader in the creation of the In the Person of Christ Clergy Enrichment Program. She has given retreats to seminarians and priests throughout the country. She completed the Spiritual Direction Certificate Program with Divine Mercy University in 2020 and she now serves as a spiritual director. She is the co-author of the book, Consecration to Jesus through Saint Joseph: An Integrated Look at the Holy Family, and a contributor to the books, Undone: Freeing the Feminine Heart from the Knots of Fear and Shame, and God is Beauty: A Retreat on the Gospel and Art.

Travel Information

This information is provided to help you research your travel options to and from the retreat. Please do not book your flights until you have registered AND paid your registration fee to secure your spot in the course.

For those flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO), we would suggest an Uber or taxi to the retreat center and back to the airport. The Airport to the Retreat Center is a short, 25-minute drive. We would suggest you make the following flight arrangements, so you can arrive at the retreat center and the airport on time.
