w/ optional extension to Jordan/Petra
Sept. 13-16, 2024
Led by Christopher West, Chaplain Fr. David Stavarz and Jason Clark
Join Theology of the Body Institute on the ultimate pilgrimage — walking and praying in the footsteps of Jesus!
This 11-day trip to the Holy Land — Sept 3-13, 2024, (plus an optional extension to Jordan and Petra Sept. 13-16) — will be an unforgettable experience — full of faith, history, St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body, delicious food, fun explorations, and beautiful new friends.
This is THE ultimate Theology of the Body pilgrimage, and spaces are limited.
Please note that COVID vaccination is not required.
A Life-changing Theology of the Body-lensed Immersion into the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus
You’ll visit all of the places one would expect on a tour of
the Holy Land, with our own special Theology of the Body lens added that will illuminate this land where Jesus was born and raised, where He proclaimed the Good News, and where He experienced his passion, death, and resurrection. You won't get this essential context on any other pilgrimage!
Explore the Holy Land
We arrive in Tel Aviv and make our way north to the quiet and solitude of the Sea of Galilee for our first three days. We then make our way to Cana, Nazareth and Bethlehem for two days before settling in Jerusalem for the remainder of the pilgrimage. Along the way, we'll also stop to float in the Dead Sea, visit Jesus' baptism site, visit Jericho (where Jesus healed the blind man Bartimaeus) and many other sites from Jesus' public ministry.
Daily Mass in Stunning Churches, Spiritual Direction and Confession to Tend to Your Spiritual Needs Throughout the Pilgrimage
We will celebrate private daily Masses in stunning churches each day, with liturgical music played by Jason Clark. Throughout the pilgrimage you will also have the opportunity for spiritual direction and to attend the sacrament of Reconciliation with our chaplains.
Exclusive formation from Christopher West!
Dr. Christopher West created an exclusive pilgrim booklet for his reflections, which will bring the Scriptures alive! Pilgrims will understand the Incarnational foundation of Christianity in ways that will forever change how you see your faith, pray, attend Mass and so much more.
Optional Extension to Amazing Jordan and Petra
After finishing our main itinerary, you have the option to continue on for three more days and immerse yourself deeper into the country of Jordan. A major highlight of the extension is our day in the archeological wonder of Petra, home to an ancient city built into the rocks. You'll immediately recognize the Treasury, whose rock facade was made famous at the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. You'll also visit a museum in Jordan that houses the famous tiled "map room" that inspired the map room scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Please note there are a limited amount of spots for the extension!
First-class Hotels, Delicious Restaurants and More!
We stay in first-class hotels in great locations (i.e. our Galilee hotel is within walking distance of the sea) and will travel in air-conditioned buses. You will experience delicious local cuisine (including the famous St. Peter's Fish dish in Galilee).

with Mike Mangione
Please note that COVID vaccination is not required.
Explore Lewis, Tolkien, Chesterton & Catholic London!
Join Bill Donaghy, teacher of our Way of Beauty and Poets for the Kingdom courses, and Fr. Kevin Fox of the Diocese of Cleveland, for an immersion into Catholic England from July 16-25, 2024. Our team also includes international touring musician and Made for More co-presenter Mike Mangione! Bill and Father Kevin will take us on an adventure into the lives of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and G.K. Chesterton, bringing alive the places that inspired masterpieces like Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia.
Special guests to enrich our experience!
We have unique opportunities scheduled for our pilgrim family, including a walking tour of London and its Catholic martyrs with renowned Catholic historian Joanna Bogle. Another guest will be Father David Marsden of Liverpool, a dear friend of the Institute and past pilgrimage chaplain, who will spend a day with us in Walsingham sharing insights on the rapidly growing devotion to England's patroness. We are also working on other special guests!
Get to know Bill Donaghy, Fr. Kevin Fox and Mike Mangione
One of the special aspects of our pilgrimages is that you get to know the pilgrimage team. Whether through shared meals, pipe-smoking sessions or fun and games, you will have access to our team that is rare on other pilgrimages.
Incredible formation from our team
Throughout our time together, our imaginations and hearts will be stirred by daily reflections from Bill and Fr. Kevin. We will celebrate daily Mass in incredible churches, and you will have opportunities for confession and spiritual direction. If you've wanted to explore London and Oxford through the lens of wonder and imagination of these Catholic literary giants — enriched by the lens of St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body — you'll love this pilgrimage!
Explore the City or Relax During Leisure Times
We have scheduled plenty of free time throughout to explore Oxford and London on our own. You can check out the local cuisine, social life and sites not on the itinerary. Our motto is Faith, Food & Fun!
